Mark started out working in theatre as an actor, writer, and director before moving into photography, shooting rehearsals and live performance. 

Known for his dynamic cinematic images that capture the energy and drama of creating and performing theatre, Mark’s work has been published in the national press including The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph and The Stage.

 

For his landscape images, Mark has developed a uniquely expressive documentary monochrome style. The images often explore the interaction between the natural landscape and the impact on it from human made structures.

 

The powerful images engage the imagination of the viewer using the tonality between shadow and light to create evocative atmospheres capturing the timeless dramatic beauty of the landscape.
